Our Philosophy: The Art of Relational Hospitality

At its heart, Gathering Thyme is built on the Biblical art of hospitality—a practice that is deeply organic and relational. For us, true hospitality is about looking beyond the surface and focusing on meaningful connection and practicing what makes others feel valued, cherished and seen.

Our mission is to foster authentic community around shared skills, fellowship, and a passion for crafting beautiful, meaningful lives. We bring together gifted community members who possess invaluable hospitality skills to teach and mentor women in group settings. Our goal is simple: to equip, inspire, and encourage one another so we can go out and bless our families, friends, and community with grace and purpose.

Gathering Thyme is where the most phenomenal, precious, and gifted artisans connect. We seek out and champion the makers creating goods that are practical and sustainable. We are after the most natural product, with less filler and fluff. It’s what we call Elevated goods.

This is where you’ll find our curated collection of handmade ceramics, organic linens, and hand-carved wood pieces. Every products that tell a story, giving each item depth, purpose, and unparalleled value.

Anyone can go to a big-box store and buy a candle. But when you choose a candle crafted by a beautiful soul who made it in her own space, one who has poured her heart into the scents and the craftsmanship—that is elevated giving. It changes everything, transforming the experience for the artisan, the giver, and the receiver.

 

Meet Irene

Gathering Thyme is the realization of a lifelong passion for our founder, Irene. After many years of event, wedding and corporate planning she learned that true hospitality is simple and the opportunity to show up and love others is worth the effort. Irene's passion for people allowed her to start Gathering Thyme Company in 2019 to simply give good gifts.

Today she hopes to use those past experiences to help inspire others to show up, love, serve, create, and share in the beauty of community through giving.
