Our Philosophy: The Art of Relational Hospitality

At its heart, Gathering Thyme is built on the Biblical art of hospitality—a practice that is deeply organic and relational. For us, true hospitality is about looking beyond the surface and genuinely knowing people’s hearts and what makes them unique.

Our mission is to foster authentic community around shared skills, fellowship, and a passion for crafting beautiful, meaningful lives. We bring together gifted community members who possess invaluable hospitality skills to teach and mentor women in group settings. The goal is simple: to equip, empower, and inspire one another so we can go out and bless our own families and communities with grace and purpose.

The Thyme Ethos: Less Fluff, More Soul

Gathering Thyme is where the most phenomenal, precious, and gifted artisans connect. We champion the artisans who pour their hearts and souls into their craft, creating goods that are free, resourceful, and sustainable. We are after the natural and organic, the less filler and fluff—it's what we call Elevated Granola.

This is where you'll find life-changing sourdough cinnamon rolls, authentic Mexican cuisine, local furniture built for top designers, and a curated selection of artisan heirloom goods: glass, ceramic, wood, and organic linens. You won’t find dyes, parabens, or toxins here. Every product comes with a heartwarming story from the maker, giving each item beauty, purpose, and unparalleled value.

Elevated Gifting

Anyone can go to a big-box store and buy a candle. But when you choose a candle crafted by a beautiful soul who made it in her own space, one who has poured her heart into the scents and the craftsmanship—that is elevated giving. It changes everything, transforming the experience for the artisan, the giver, and the receiver.

Meet Irene

Gathering Thyme is the realization of a lifelong passion for our founder, Irene. With a background spanning 20 years in event planning, Irene has orchestrated everything from non-profit galas to intricate events for brides. Long before the popular platform existed, Irene was doing "Pinterest before it was even a thing," gathering girlfriends around the joy of elevated gift-giving, artisan baking, and intentional homekeeping.

Irene's deep appreciation for craft is also rooted in her experience owning a flower shop, where she learned the beauty of natural materials and the power of a heartfelt presentation. Her heart is to use that experience to help others connect, create, and share in the beauty of a life well-cared for.
